Monument All-nighter - From South Korea to Oslo

We are excited to be bringing two very special artists who have built their craft in the vibrant South Korean techno scene to Oslo. Both Scøpe and Cobahn are regulars at the renowned Club Vurt where they explore the spiritual depths of techno, something we at Monument deeply admire. We also mark this occasion with the summer solstice, bringing a little more light and magic to it all. Opening the night we have our very own Javel.

Scøpe

Scøpe is a Korean techno producer, DJ, and co-founder of the label SCOPÁVIK. In 2015, he began his DJ career at club vurt. in Seoul, where he currently hosts a regular event called SCOPÁVIK Night.

Since the release of his debut EP in 2014, he has continued to put out music through various domestic and international labels, steadily crafting his own unique sonic identity with each release. His work is known for its distinctive textures and grooves that define his approach to techno. With the launch of SCOPÁVIK as a record label, he further developed and solidified his musical vision. His solo EPs on SCOPÁVIK have featured remixes by acclaimed techno artists such as Anthony Linell, Svreca, Acronym, and Psyk.

In his DJ sets, Scøpe intricately weaves and layers the rhythmic structures of each track, building them up organically. This evolving groove draws the audience into a state of subconscious movement, creating a powerful intersection of reason and instinct. The result is a form of joy that only techno can deliver.

Cobahn

Amsterdam-based DJ Cobahn embarked on her musical journey amidst Seoul's vibrant techno scene, immersing herself in its spiritual depths. With regular performances at Club Vurt, renowned as an underground techno bunker in Seoul, she refined her craft through various parties. Now rooted in Amsterdam, she expands her musical horizons across Europe.

Her performances grace prestigious venues such as De School, Tresor, Garage Noord, alongside renowned techno events like Ratherlost and Pax Romana, as well as festivals like Mostra. Notably, she is featured on the artist lineup of Dekmantel 10 and Paral·lel festival.

Influenced by Eastern culture and the captivating force of nature, her music seamlessly blends deep, psychedelic elements into a dark, polyrhythmic, yet irresistibly groovy soundscape.

Javel

Javel is a DJ and curator based in Oslo, devoted to storytelling through the deeper realms of electronic music. With roots spanning the Baltic and Nordic scenes, he has built a strong presence in the underground community, bridging the dancefloor with a wider artistic vision behind the scenes.

As a core figure at Monument Festival one of the genre’s most respected gatherings Javel helps shape its artistic direction, curating lineups that reflect a deep and thoughtful approach to sonic exploration.

His sets unfold as immersive journeys, blending subtle textures, hypnotic grooves, and emotional intensity. Each performance invites listeners into a space where sound becomes memory and rhythm transforms into emotion. With a distinct ability to guide audiences through evolving soundscapes, Javel stands as a key voice in a new wave of artists expanding and redefining today’s electronic music landscape.
